FAQ

What people ask most often

If you cannot find the answer here, write or call. We are happy to discuss technical questions directly with your production team.

Is the screen visible in direct sunlight?

Yes. An outdoor LED screen at roughly 5,000 nits is readable even at midday — that is the main difference from projecting onto a screen. The best result is with the screen turned so the sun is not in the viewers' eyes; the screen rotates 360°.

How much power do you need, and what if there is none on site?

As standard, a 400 V / 32 A (CEE 5-pin, 3P+N+PE) supply within 30 m. Peak draw is up to 10 kW, on average around 4 kW. Without a supply we bring a silent 20 kVA generator including fuel at an extra charge of CZK 5,900/day.

How much space does the trailer need?

A roughly level area of 8 × 12 m (6.5 m trailer + 4.9 m outriggers extended + working space). An access route 3 m wide and 2.5 m high — the van + trailer combination is about 13 m long.

How long does set-up take?

Raising the screen takes up to 10 minutes; allow 30 minutes in total from arrival to first picture including levelling, power and signal. Pack-down is similarly quick.

What if it is windy or raining?

Rain is not a problem — the screen is rated IP65. The trailer is certified to EN 13814 up to 72 km/h; the technician measures the wind with an anemometer and lowers the screen if the limit is exceeded. If the event cannot go ahead because of wind, we charge transport only.

Is the operator included?

Yes, the technician stays at the trailer for the whole event — set-up, switching inputs, watching the wind, pack-down. We do not hire out the trailer without an operator.

How high is the picture?

The bottom edge of the screen adjusts continuously from 1.6 to 6.3 m above ground. Over a standing crowd 3–4 m is ideal; over barriers and cars, more.

What can we play, and in what format?

Video as MP4 (H.264/H.265) or MOV, images as PNG/JPG, a presentation from a laptop via HDMI, a live feed from satellite, IPTV or the internet, a camera with vision mixing. We send a template with safe margins and resolution after you order.

Who handles the rights to a sports broadcast or a film?

The organiser. Public screening of a sports broadcast requires the consent of the rights holder; a film needs a licence from the distributor; music needs clearance from the collecting societies. We have experience with this and can advise whom to contact and how; we handle the technical side of the feed.

Where do you travel?

Across the Czech Republic, and regularly to Austria and Slovakia. We set out from Jindřichův Hradec; transport within 100 km is included, beyond that CZK 22/km. Prague, Brno, Plzeň, Linz and Vienna are all within 170 km.

How much does it cost?

An all-in event day from CZK 29,900 excl. VAT (operator, set-up, transport within 100 km), each additional day CZK 14,900, a Fri–Sun weekend from CZK 54,900. We send an exact quote within 24 hours.

What about cancellation?

Free up to 14 days before the event, 13–3 days 30%, less than 72 hours 50%, once we have set off 100%. If we cancel because of wind above the limit, we charge transport only.

Can you stand on a pedestrianised square or on grass?

Yes. The trailer is simply levelled on its outriggers; nothing is anchored into the ground. We need a surface that will bear 3.5 t and a roughly level area — the outriggers take up a slope of a few per cent. The permit for use of the site is yours to arrange; we supply dimensions and paperwork.

Can you do sound, camera and streaming as well?

Yes, through our sister company Videorent: sound for the screen, camera with operator, multi-camera vision mixing, internet streaming, lighting. One invoice.

Who is the operator and how do you invoice?

LED Trailer is a brand of VIDEORENT s.r.o., company ID 21057478, Jindřichův Hradec, Czech Republic. We invoice after the event with 14-day payment terms, municipalities per their own rules. We are VAT registered; EU reverse charge applies to VAT-registered businesses abroad.

Have a date? We will confirm it within 24 hours.

Send us the location, date and type of event. We will send a price and hold the trailer for you until you decide.
